    2165 CE.         minami was the daughter of two unremarkable colonists, a russian mother and japanese father, on the very edges of the skyllian verge (milky way galaxy / petra nebula / novus system / klushino, the cold third planet). she grew into a precocious but deeply troubled child, intelligence overshadowed by her growing violence. when inquiries were made about both her behaviour and her constant bruises, her parents chose to sell her into batarian slavery; an easy enough thing to fake as a cOMMON kidnapping, and certainly easier than hiding a corpse themselves.    2174 CE.         she was nine-years-old, and soon purchased by those with political aspirations. she spent the next ten years training in and practically applying linguistics, marksmanship, ordnance, explosives, torture, infiltration, murder, on and on it went. hers was a constant investment.humiliated by the failure of the skyllian blitz and the destruction of torfan, minami's primary use to her batarian masters was that of a false flag operative; a slave masquerading as an extreme human-supremacist terrorist to interrupt humanity's progress and damage relations with the citadel races. that, and to simply kill as they commanded. they would get their money's worth out of her education.    2185 CE.         MINAMI enacts a chemical attack on a turian world's landing port, impersonating cerberus. to her luck, actual such members were on the planet ⸻ and ordered to find her, after her comrade-slaves and masters both were killed in a large gunfight with the authorities. they subdue her long enough to remove her skull's control chip without lobotomising her. in thanks, their deaths are painless.the newly revived commander shepard is asked to find and utilise the operative on their suicide mission. this time, minami accepts; she had enjoyed her life of violence, even if not the slavery, and desired 'someone even more interesting'. someone with an impossible goal to fill up the empty hours of freedom. why not? she was no longer a human being, and could never return to their world, but was not an unthinking beast just yet. all she could do was have fun.
